
LaRavia Garners ACC Player of the Week Honors

This is the second weekly honor of the season for the junior forward.
GREENSBORO, N.C. -- Wake Forest men's basketball junior forward Jake LaRavia was named the Atlantic Coast Conference Player of the Week, announced by the league office Monday afternoon, after averaging 19.5 points per game, 9.5 rebounds per game and three assists per game.
LaRavia captured his fourth double-double of the season at Duke last Tuesday with 19 points and 10 rebounds. He tallied 20 points, nine rebounds, five assists and four steals against Notre Dame.
He leads the ACC and is 18th in the nation in field goal percentage (58.0) and is averaging 14.8 points per game. LaRavia has scored 15-plus points 14 times this season and he leads the team in conference play averaging 7.2 rebounds per game and has pulled down seven-plus boards 14 times.
This is the second weekly honor of the season for the Deacs junior forward, as he previously garnered after he scored a career-high 31 points against North Carolina back in January. He joins Alondes Williams with two weekly conference accolades this season.
After scoring 19 points at Duke and 20 vs. Notre Dame this past week, LaRavia is now just 24 points from eclipsing 1,000 career points:
Wake Forest is back in action on Wednesday at Clemson in the team's final road game of the regular season. Tipoff in Littlejohn Coliseum is set for 7 p.m. and the game will air live on ACC Network.
