WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. -- Wake Forest men's soccer has announced the addition of transfer Sidney Paris. The Oakville, Ontario, native arrives in Winston-Salem following two seasons at the Naval Academy, highlighted by 2021 All-Patriot League First-Team honors.
Paris is the latest addition to the 2022 roster, joining the current No. 2 ranked recruiting class by TopDrawerSoccer.
"We couldn't be more excited to welcome Sidney to the Demon Deacon Family, he is a great player with Division I experience and an incredible young man. He is going to be a great fit for our program both on and off the field," said head coach Bobby Muuss. "His quality, playmaking ability and experience will help bolster our attack and make his transition to the ACC seamless."
In two seasons at Navy, Paris appeared in 24 matches with 23 starts. During the 2021 season, he collected 17 points off of four goals and a team-high seven assists as he was named an All-Patriot League selection.
Paris has played club soccer in seven countries, most recently in Canada with the Toronto FC Academy of the U.S. Soccer Development Academy system. He also was a member of Vaughn FC while in Canada, the former club of Wake Forest alum Alistair Johnston.
Prior to arriving in Canada, Paris played with the Chicago Fire Academy in the United States, Real Madrid in Spain and Ascot United in the United Kingdom.
