More dominant showings by the Deacs.
WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. – The exceptional, collective play of Wake Forest men's tennis was on full display once again throughout Saturday (Feb. 26). The Demon Deacons defeated Boston College (3-3) in their Atlantic Coast Conference (ACC) opener, 7-0, before taking down UNC-Greensboro, 6-1.
Wake Forest played outdoors for the first time this spring season during the Boston College outing. Due to rainy conditions, competition was moved to the Deacs' indoor center for the second half of the day's doubleheader.
The Deacons are now 15-0 at home in 2022.
Quotable
"It was a good day, getting our first ACC win and getting outdoors for a bit. Weather was obviously a challenge, and I felt our guys did well in handling it all. We played well in doubles against Boston College, and then ran away with some of those first-set points. This afternoon (versus UNC-Greensboro), some different guys were able to get good competition. We're excited to get a few wins and turn our attention to next weekend." - head coach Tony Bresky
