WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. -- Wake Forest men's soccer has announced its 2022 spring schedule highlighted by the annual Spring Soccer Cup at Spry Stadium in April.

"We're excited to return to action this spring with a competitive schedule that features the annual Spring Soccer Cup at Spry Stadium with 10 of the best programs in the country coming to Winston-Salem. "Our team will also have the incredible opportunity to play in three games during our international trip to England in March."

Wake Forest will open the spring against Southern Conference regular season champions UNCG on Friday, Feb. 25 at Bryan Park in Greensboro, N.C.

From March 4-13, the Demon Deacons will head overseas as part of an international trip to England before beginning play for the Spring Soccer Cup.

Wake Forest will face 2021 College Cup participant Georgetown on Sunday, March 20 in Washington, D.C, Pitt on Saturday, March 26 in Pittsburgh and Duke on Saturday, April 2 in Winston-Salem before hosting the Spring Soccer Cup on Sunday, April 10 at Spry.

An annual showcase of some of the country's elite programs, Wake Forest will be joined by Clemson, Georgetown, Pitt, Duke, North Carolina, NC State, Virginia, Virginia Tech and Maryland for the final event of the Spring Soccer Cup.

Together, these 10 programs over the last four seasons have combined to earn 30 NCAA Tournaments bids, eight College Cup appearances and three National Championships.

The spring will conclude with a home match against Vaughan SC, a Canadian club, on Thursday, April 14 at Spry. Demon Deacon alum and current Canadian National Team defender Alistair Johnston played for Vaughan SC.
