News & Notes:
- Wake Forest, who is currently fifth in the ACC standings, is working to earn its first top 5 seed in the ACC Tournament since 2010. Additionally, the last time the Deacs finished higher than fifth at the end of the regular season was 2009 when Wake Forest ended the campaign in second place.
- Wake Forest has the opportunity to tie its single season record of 13 ACC wins set during the 2004-05 and 2002-03 seasons.
- Additionally, Wake Forest has reached 12 ACC wins in a single season for the 7th time in program history and first time since the 2004-05 season.
- Wake Forest is on pace to have the second-largest improvement from year to year in NCAA history this season.
- Iowa State broke the record with their win against Kansas State last week for an 18-game improvement (2-22 to 20-9). A win over NC State will give the Deacons a 17-game improvement from last season (6-16 to 23-8), which will tie Towson's 17-game improvement from 2012 to 2013 (1-31 to 18-13).
- Alondes Williams (72 points away) and Isaiah Mucius (71 points away) are both approaching the 1,000-career point threshold.
- With Daivien Williamson (1,287) and Jake LaRavia (1,014) having already reached that milestone, Wake Forest could have four active players with 1,000 career points.
- Alondes Williams (581 points, 152 assists) is just 35 points away from joining Randolph Childress (644 points, 167 assists in 1994-95) as the only Demon Deacons to rank inside the top 15 of the program's single season scoring and assists leaderboard.
