Bush Shines on First Day of Bryan Clay Invitational

Anna Bush and Addison Berry competed in the women’s heptathlon at the Bryan Clay Invitational on Wednesday.

AZUSA, CALIFORNIA -- Anna Bush tallied three personal lists on the first day of the Bryan Clay Invitational as she competed in the women's heptathlon. Overall, the redshirt senior sits in fourth place with 3,390 points in the event amongst an extremely competitive field. 
 
Bush's personal bests came in the 100m hurdles (13.89), high jump (1.70m) and 200m dash (24.54). Additionally, she recorded a mark of 11.26m in the shot put. Bush's performances moved her into the top 10 in school history in the 100m hurdles (third), high jump (sixth) and 200m dash (fifth).
 
Meanwhile, sophomore Addison Berry sits in 15th place in the event with 3,136 points through four events. The Westminster, S.C. product recorded times of 14.46 seconds in the 100m hurdles and 25.45 seconds in the 200m dash. Additionally in the field events, she tallied marks of 11.52m and 1.70m in the shot put and high jump, respectively. 
 
Both Demon Deacons are back in action tomorrow for the remaining three events of the heptathlon.
