Seventeen Demon Deacons Land on 2026 Outdoor Track & Field All-ACC Academic Teams

A group of 10 Wake Forest student-athletes repeated on the academic teams from a year ago.
CHARLOTTE, N.C. – The Wake Forest track and field program placed 17 student-athletes on the 2026 Outdoor Track and Field All-ACC Academic Teams, announced by the conference office on Wednesday.
Julia Aere, Mackenzie Hart, Angelina Perez, Seren Rodgers, Victoria Rodriguez, Casey Sullivan, Amy Weybrecht, Elizabeth Whaley and Brooke Wilson were recognized on the women's team while Max Cervi-Skinner, Bryce Gilmore, Rocky Hansen, Hunter Jones, Joe O'Brien, Landon Pretre, Wes Shipsey and Daniel Winter represented the men's side.
Wake Forest has now put 17 or more individuals on the All-ACC Academic Teams for four consecutive years, dating back to the 2023 spring season.
Whaley, who earned Second Team All-American honors in the women's 1500 meters at the NCAA Outdoor Track and Field Championships, concluded her career with a fourth-straight All-ACC Academic Team selection. Meanwhile, Hansen earned his third consecutive All-ACC Academic Team honor to cap off a junior season that saw him earn First Team All-American honors after finishing runner-up in the men's 5000 meters.
Additionally, eight Deacs became multi-time honorees, as Gilmore, Hart, Jones, Perez, Rodgers, Shipsey, Wilson and Winter all earned their second career All-ACC Academic Team honors. Meanwhile, Cervi-Skinner, Aere, O'Brien, Pretre, Rodriguez, Sullivan and Weybrecht were recognized for the first time.
Academic requirements for selection to the All-ACC Academic Teams include being an undergraduate student-athlete who has been enrolled at the institution for at least one academic year, earned a cumulative GPA of 3.0, including a 3.0 GPA in the most recent two semesters or three quarters, and competed in either the ACC Championships, NCAA Championships or both.
