WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. - The Wake Forest baseball team will host a charity game Saturday, April 16 against Clemson, benefiting The Parenting PATH, a local organization that supports parents, strengthens families and creates more stable communities.

"Child abuse and the mental health issues associated with our nation's youth are at an all-time high and those two matters go hand in hand," said head coach Tom Walter. "Elizabeth Miller and her team at The Parenting PATH have boots on the ground making an impact every single day.  They are giving parents in our home community the information and resources to become better parents.  Better parents produce more productive members of society.  It's simple math and there is no more noble cause.  We are proud as a program to support The Parenting PATH."

"We are thankful to Coach Walter and Wake Forest Baseball for the opportunity to host this charity game during April, which is child abuse prevention month," said Elizabeth Miller, Chief Operating Officer at The Parenting PATH. "As an alumna, I am incredibly proud to be associated with a group of young men so clearly embodying Wake Forest's Pro Humanitate (For Humanity) spirit. Child abuse is often a hidden issue but it impacts thousands of children in our community every year. We believe all children should know safety and love and we are grateful to Wake Forest Baseball for helping us achieve that mission."
