
Becker and Morra Represent Wake Forest at Canada U23 Training Camp

The Demon Deacon duo will look to make Team Canada for the upcoming GLOBL JAM FIVES tournament in Toronto, Ontario, Canada, running from July 5-10.
TORONTO, Ontario – Two Demon Deacons are back in their home country for Canadian U23 Training Camp ahead of the GLOBL JAM FIVES tournament from July 5-10 in Toronto, Ontario, Canada.
Rising senior forward Niyah Becker and recently graduated forward Christina Morra. Training camp will be held June 22-July 4, 2022 at Scotiabank Arena ahead of GLOBL JAM.
Morra was a three-time member of the ACC All-Academic her last three seasons in Winston-Salem, just the third player in program history to do so. She also finished her career with 869 points while shooting 51.7 percent from the field. In her senior season, she totaled 13 double-figure scoring games including doing so in the last seven games of the season.
The Toronto, Ontario native notched her first double-double of the season with a career-best 21 points and a career-high 15 rebounds in a home conference win over Syracuse on Feb. 24. Down the stretch of the season, Morra played her best basketball of the season. In the First Round of the ACC Tournament against Virginia, she tallied her second double-double performance in the last three games. Morra posted 13 points and a game-high 10 rebounds in the victory over the Cavaliers
Over the last five games of the season, Morra averaged 15.2 points and 9.2 rebounds.
Becker played in 30 games in her first season with the Demon Deacons, making 26 starts while averaging 6.7 points, 4.3 rebounds per game and led the team with 17 blocks. She posted nine double-figure scoring games over the course of the season including a stretch of six over an eight game span from Feb. 3 to Feb. 27.
The Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada native recorded a season-high 13 points three times during the 2021-22 including a 6-of-8 performance in the regular-season finale against nationally-ranked Georgia Tech. She tallied her first double-double as a Deac in a home win over Troy with 13 points and 11 rebounds.
