
Lanckohr Named ACC Offensive Player of the Week

The All-American netted five goals and two assists during a West Coast sweep, highlighted by the first hat trick of her career against UC Davis on Sept. 9.
GREENSBORO, N.C. – Wake Forest field hockey senior All-American Meike Lanckor was named the Atlantic Coast Conference Offensive Player of the Week, as announced by the league Tuesday afternoon.
Lanckohr earns the second conference player of the week nod of her career after leading Wake Forest in a perfect 2-0 weekend on the Wake Forest's West Coast road trip with a team-high 12 points, netting a team-high five goals and two assists.
In the Demon Deacons' 6-0 win at UC Davis Friday, Lanckohr registered the first hat trick of her career while also dishing out an assist.
Lanckohr followed up that performance with a pair of first-half goals in Wake Forest's 6-1 win at Cal on Sunday. The senior also notched an assist for the third-straight match.
Lanckohr has been an instrumental force throughout Wake Forest's current three-match win streak in which the Demon Deacons have outscored their opponents 18-2. This marks the most goals scored for the program in three-consecutive matches since the 2017 season (18 goals, Oct. 1- Oct. 8).
Overall, the Voerendaal, Netherlands native has appeared and started in all five matches, registering six goals and three assists for 15 points.

The Deacs are back home inside Kentner Stadium for the team's final non-conference home match of the month against Richmond on Friday, Sept. 16.
The match begins at 4 p.m. and will be streamed live on ACC Network Extra.
Wake Forest then heads back on the road for three-straight contests at Ohio State (Sunday, Sept. 18), North Carolina (Friday, Sept. 23) and App State (Sunday, Sept. 25).
