Basham, Dortch make big plays to help the Bills and Cardinals to victories.
WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. - Week two of the 2022 NFL season saw six teams with Demon Deacons on the roster pick up victories, including Carlos "Boogie" Basham Jr. and the undefeated Buffalo Bills with an impressive 41-7 win over the Minnesota Vikings on Monday Night Football.
Dortchin' Hot
Wide receiver Greg Dortch helped lead the Arizona Cardinals to a comeback victory over the Las Vegas Raiders to earn their first victory of the young season.
After falling behind 20-0 in the first half, Dortch caught his first career touchdown with 6:03 remaining in the third quarter to get the Cardinals on the board. Two drives later he came up big again with two 10-yard receptions to help set up Arizona's second touchdown to bring it to a one score game. The Cardinals ended up forcing overtime with a late score and successful two-point conversion, and sealing the deal with a defensive touchdown.
The Richmond native finished the game with four receptions on four targets, 55 yards and a touchdown. He currently leads Arizona with 11 receptions and 118 yards over the first two games.
Contenders
During Basham's Monday night blowout, he got his hands on the ball for a second-straight week to start the season as he pounced on a loose ball in the fourth quarter. The very next drive he got pressure on the quarterback to force an incompletion and a punt.
Basham and the Bills will look to continue their unbeaten start with a divisional matchup against the 2-0 Miami Dolphins on Sunday.
