WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. - The Wake Forest men's basketball team is traveling north to Chestnut Hill, Massachusetts for a Saturday night (Jan. 14) matchup with the Boston College Eagles. Tipoff is slated for 8 p.m. ET and the game will air live on ESPN2.

The Deacs (12-5, 4-2) are coming off their third consecutive win against the Florida State Seminoles, the second-longest win streak for Wake Forest in the series. The team defeated Florida State, 90-75, inside Lawrence Joel Veterans Memorial Coliseum during Wednesday night (Jan. 11) to improve to 4-2 in conference play and head into the weekend fifth in the Atlantic Coast Conference (ACC) standings. They will arrive in Chestnut Hill looking for their third straight conference win this season.

Prior to Wednesday, during ACC play, the Seminoles had held ACC opponents to just 34.3 percent from three-point distance. Wake Forest finished 53.8 percent from beyond the arc, going 14-of-26, which marked the best 3-point field goal percentage of the season for the Deacs. ACC opponents had been averaging 67.4 points against Florida State. Wake Forest scored 90 points in the win on 55.6 percent shooting from the field, which marked the second-best field goal percentage of the season for the Deacs.

With the top scoring offense in conference play, Wake's 90 points against the Seminoles were the most in a conference game this season and the most since the Deacs dropped 97 against Hampton in November. The Deacs' 90 points were also the second-most allowed by the Seminoles in a game this season.

For the third time this season, Cameron Hildreth led the Deacs in scoring with a career-high 23 points on 9-of-14 shooting. For the eighth time this season, Hildreth led the Deacs on the glass with six rebounds. He also chipped in four assists and four steals.

Andrew Carr also notched a career high in scoring with 22 points on 8-of-10 shooting. He added four rebounds, three steals and two blocks to his line. Tyree Appleby, the ACC leader in assists per game during conference play, finished with 16 points, eight assists and three steals in the win. He is currently averaging 7.5 dimes per conference contest.

Damari Monsanto poured in 22 points and went 6-of-7 beyond the arc against the Seminoles. The Pembroke Pines, Florida, native has now racked up six made three-pointers in three separate showings during 2022-23. Monsanto is just the third Wake Forest player since 1996 to make six triples in three games throughout a single season.

In his second season at the helm of the Eagles, Earl Grant and his team are off to an 8-9 start and 2-4 clip in league play. The Eagles are coming off back-to-back losses against Duke at home and Miami on the road. They are 6-3 in Conte Forum and have already defeated Virginia Tech and Notre Dame at home. The Eagles have three players averaging double figures: Makai Ashton-Langford (12.3), Quinten Post (11.0) and Jaeden Zackery (10.3). They are led by T.J. Bickerstaff on the glass, as he's pulling down 6.5 rebounds a game.
