WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. - The Wake Forest football team plays their second-straight road game on Saturday, Oct. 14 at Virginia Tech at 3:30 p.m. on ACC Network.
This marks the first time the two teams will square off since a memorable Demon Deacon 23-16 win against the nationally-ranked Hokies in 2020. The Deacs were led defensively by freshman walk-on Nick Andersen who recorded three interceptions for the first time since 1987 and led the team in tackles with 11. Senior defensive end Boogie Basham extended his streak of consecutive games with a tackle for loss to 23 in the fourth quarter. Basham also tallied nine tackles for the Deacs

The Deacs and Hokies have only faced off seven times since 1984, with this contest being the 51st meeting in series history.
