The Deacs and Colonials will meet in Wake Forest's final midweek match of the 2023 regular season.
WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. – The No. 4 ranked Wake Forest men's soccer team will host its final non-conference match of the 2023 regular season on Tuesday night, facing Robert Morris at Spry Stadium.
Kick-off is scheduled for 7 p.m. and the match will be streamed on ACC Network Extra.

The Matchup
- Wake Forest and Robert Morris will share the pitch for the first time since the 1993 season on Tuesday night, as the Demon Deacons will continue a four-match homestand riding a seven-match winning streak while the Colonials are unbeaten in four consecutive outings.
- Overall, Wake Forest is 10-1-3 on the year and 4-1-1 in ACC play, as the Deacs sit atop the Atlantic Division with two conference matches remaining.
- Robert Morris, meanwhile, is 4-3-5 overall and 2-2-2 in Horizon League action – tied for fourth place and just five points behind conference leader IUPUI.
- With four-straight shutouts and five clean sheets in the team's last six appearances, Wake Forest ranks tied for 11th nationally in goals against per game at 0.64.
- On the other end, Robert Morris leads the Horizon League in scoring at 1.75 goals per game and has scored at least one goal in 10 of the team's 12 matches this season.
- The only prior meeting between the sides came on Oct. 31, 1993, in a 1-0 victory for Robert Morris.
- In a highly anticipated top-15 matchup with Big Four rival North Carolina, the Demon Deacons scored a 1-0 victory over the Tar Heels on Saturday night.
- After the sides went into halftime knotted at 0-0, Wake Forest struck just six minutes after the break as Roald Mitchell one-timed a low-level cross from Babacar Niang for his eighth goal of the season.
- Wake Forest held strong defensively, recording a fourth-straight ACC clean sheet as Trace Alphin corralled two shot attempts on goal into saves in the first half.
- Tuesday's match will mark the final non-conference match of the regular season for Wake Forest, as the Deacs are currently 6-0-2 against opponents from outside the ACC in 2023.
- At home, the Deacs are 5-0-1 against non-conference opponents and outscored those teams by a combined 18-4.
- On the road, Wake Forest scored a 3-1 victory over a Campbell squad who was previously undefeated at Eakes Athletics Complex along with a 0-0 result against then-No. 20 Maryland at the start of September.
- Last Tuesday, the Demon Deacons earned a milestone victory in a 2-0 decision against Wofford. The result marked Wake Forest's 100th home victory since the beginning of the 2015 season.
- The Deacs added to their home victory total on Saturday night, taking down No. 14 North Carolina 1-0 in the program's annual Genna Wiley Memorial Match.

- With just three matches remaining in the regular season, Wake Forest continues its push ahead into a competitive ACC Tournament and in search of a 13th-straight NCAA Tournament appearance.
- Through this weekend's action, Wake Forest ranks in the top-10 in the United Soccer Coaches poll (No. 4) and the NCAA's RPI (No. 6). The Deacs also checked in at No. 3 in TopDrawerSoccer's national poll and are No. 6 in CollegeSoccerNews' latest rankings.
- Wake Forest is the highest ranked ACC team in the United Soccer Coaches poll and one of three conference programs inside the top-10 in NCAA RPI (Notre Dame at No. 3 and Clemson at No. 10).
- Robert Morris will travel to Winston-Salem on a four-match unbeaten streak dating back to a 1-1 draw with St. Bonaventure on Sept. 26. Over the four-match stretch, the Colonials have also drawn 1-1 with both Wright State and Green Bay while notching a 3-0 victory over Purdue Fort Wayne.
- Three different Colonials have scored three or more goals, led by Gabe Norris' four goals.
- Anass Hadran leads Robert Morris in points (nine) and has registered two game-winning goals on the campaign.
- Kieran Gorgenyi has started all 10 of his appearances in goal for Robert Morris this season, as the freshman has collected 34 saves while conceding only 10 goals.
- Wake Forest's final home regular season match will come on Friday night in a spotlight match in ACC action, as the No. 4 ranked Deacs will host No. 8 Notre Dame in a nationally-televised matchup.
