WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. - The Wake Forest field hockey team was well represented in the NFHCA All-Region Team announcement on Wednesday, with Grace Delmotte, Nat Friedman and Mia Schoenbeck earning South All-Region Second Team honors for the Demon Deacons.

"We are extremely proud of these three student athletes representing Wake Hockey," head coach Jen Averill said. "All three of them exemplify offensive and defensive qualities that contributed to our growth and success this fall. Grace and Nat have had illustrious careers here at Wake and Mia represents the incredible youthful talent that we as coaches are excited to continue to support and develop."

Division I teams are separated into five regions: Mid-Atlantic, Mideast, Northeast, South and West. Each of these regions recognizes up to 16 student-athletes on both the first team and the second team.

Already named a First-Team All-ACC member for her efforts this past season, Friedman took home her third career NFHCA All-Region honor in 2023. The Towson, Md. native was a key part of Wake Hockey for the past five seasons and started every match in 2023. Over the course of her time at Wake Forest, Friedman notched 12 goals, 18 assists, and 42 points as a Demon Deacon.

Delmotte, who was also named to the All-ACC team for the third time in her career, earns back-to-back NFHCA Second Team All-South Region honors. The North Vancouver native was a four-year starter for the Demon Deacons appearing in 72 games with 10 goals and 20 assists. In 2022, she was one of the leaders in assists in the ACC with 13. Over the past four seasons, Delmotte has been named NFHCA Second Team All-South Region, three-time second-team All-ACC, and was named to the NFHCA and ACC All-Academics teams.

In her debut season, Schoenbeck netted two goals and an assist to finish her freshman campaign with five points. The Louisville, Ky. native was one of just two freshmen named to the NFHCA South All-Region Second team. Schoenbeck recorded her first career goal with the game-winner at Ohio and opened the scoring against Colgate in the Deacs 4-0 win on the road. Schoenbeck made 13 starts for the Demon Deacons, appearing in all 17 matches.
