Brylin notched her 14th singles victory during the day.
WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. – Making a return to its tennis center for the first time in nearly four weeks, Wake Forest women's tennis brought in Boston College (10-8, 3-7) on Friday evening (March 31) for its eighth Atlantic Coast Conference (ACC) matchup of the spring. After falling in doubles, the Demon Deacons clawed back in spurts during singles play but fell short in a 5-2 decision by the visitors.
Wake Forest moved to 12-9 overall, now 3-5 against conference opponents.
Anna Brylin grabbed her 14th solo win this season, currently leading the team in that category. The graduate student has only dropped four completed matches.
Nevena Carton enjoyed a dominant, individual performance on Friday, piecing her 10th victory in singles. That particular win now has the freshman ranking second on the roster.
Wake Forest leads the all-time series 14-7 over Boston College.

From the Head Honcho
"It was a tough match for us," said head coach Jeff Wyshner. "We didn't play as sharp a doubles point as we usually do and then had to play from behind. We had our chances in second sets on several courts during singles, but let those slip away. We'll try to get ready for Sunday now."
Up Next
'Senior Day' is up next for Wake Forest in a Sunday home doubleheader (April 2). Anna Brylin and Maddie Lynch will be honored prior to the first match against Syracuse at 12 p.m. ET. Later in the day, the Deacs are set to face Elon University in a 4 p.m. ET showing.
