Wake Forest ACC Network Takeover Set For Saturday, July 1

This year’s slate of ACC Network takeovers begins with the Demon Deacons and includes memorable games and moments from football, men’s and women’s basketball, baseball, men’s and women’s soccer and volleyball.

GREENSBORO, N.C. – Wake Forest will kick off two weeks of ACC Network takeovers on Saturday, July 1, as some of the most memorable games from the 2022-23 athletics season will re-air throughout the entirety of the day. 

Below is the list of games set for Saturday's ACC Network takeover: 

12 a.m.: Baseball vs. Coastal Carolina (from April 25, 2023)

  • Facing the No. 5 team in the country at David F. Couch Ballpark, the Demon Deacons scored an impressive 11-1 victory in seven innings. The victory was the third in four days during a run in which the Deacs outscored opponents 51-6. 

3 a.m.: Volleyball vs. NC State (from Oct. 9, 2022)

  • One of the highlight victories from a winning season for the Deacs came against Big Four rival NC State, completing a weekend of 3-1 victories over North Carolina and the Wolfpack. 

5 a.m.: Football vs. VMI (from Sept. 1, 2022)

  • Kicking off a season that concluded with a victory over Missouri in the Gasparilla Bowl, Wake Forest took down the Keydets 44-10 behind a balanced offensive attack and a defensive unit that allowed just 222 total yards. 

8 a.m.: Women's Soccer vs. Clemson (from Sept. 22, 2022)

10 a.m.: Men's Basketball vs. Duke (from Dec. 20, 2022)

  • A big-time, Big Four victory. Fueled by five Deacs reaching double-digits in scoring, Wake Forest knocked off No. 14 Duke 81-70 at the LJVM Coliseum.

12 noon: Baseball vs. Alabama (from June 11, 2023)

  • Winston-Salem Super Regional Champions! Behind an NCAA postseason record nine home runs, Wake Forest blasted out to a 22-5 victory over the Crimson Tide to secure a spot in the Men's College World Series. 

3 p.m.: Men's Soccer vs. Louisville (from Oct. 28, 2022)

  • Facing the No. 9 ranked Cardinals, Wake Forest men's soccer showed on a national stage just how tough they are at Spry Stadium in a 3-0 victory over Louisville. The night was capped off with a spectacular bicycle kick goal from Leo Guarino

5 p.m.: Women's Basketball vs. Louisville (from Jan. 26, 2023)

  • Fueled by a 26-point third quarter which included an 18-0 run by the Deacs, Wake Forest scored the first of two-straight victories over teams that eventually advanced to the Elite Eight in the NCAA Tournament.  

7 p.m.: Baseball vs. Stanford (from June 17, 2022)

  • The #OmaDeacs opened up their week at the Men's College World Series with a comeback victory over the Cardinal as the Deacs did not allow a run after the third inning. 

10 p.m.: Football Spring Game (from April 15, 2023)
