Tom Haberer tied his career-best shooting a 68 during round one at The Country Club of Sapphire Valley
SAPPHIRE, N.C.- Wake Forest men's golfers Tom Haberer, Marco Florioli, and Kyle Haas finished the first two rounds of the J.T. Poston Invitational Monday afternoon.
Tom Haberer started off the first round strong, tying his career-best during the first 18 holes at The Country Club of Sapphire Valley. Last week, the Bad Salzdetfurth, Germany native opened up the Highlands Invitational shooting a 68 during this first round.
Monday, Haberer tallied four birdies during the opening round of play. On hole 14, the freshman notched an eagle to end round one shooting three strokes-under-par.
During the second round, Haberer recorded five more birdies and shot one stroke-over-par. Haberer is headed into round three ranked in the top-15 at the J.T. Poston Invitational, looking to claim the top finish of his young career.
Tom Haberer, Kyle Haas, and Marco Florioli will all tee off at 9:30 a.m. ET. Haberer will tee off in the first group off of hole 15, Florioli will tee off of hole 16 and Kyle Haas will tee off of hole 17.
All three Demon Deacons will be grouped with golfers from Eastern Tennessee State, Clemson and Georgia Southern.
