Demon Deacons Earn Two Podium Finishes on Day One of the Virginia Tech Invitational

Jack Balick and Dillon Aryeh finished first and second in the 1000m.
Blacksburg, Va. - Wake Forest men's and women's track and field completed the first day of the Virginia Tech Invitational Friday night. The Demon Deacons claimed two podiums with Jack Balick and Dillon Aryeh in the men's 1000m.
Prior to Friday night, Balick and Aryeh finished in the top-5 in the mile at the Sharon Colyear-Danville Season Opener. Balick claimed second place (4:12.93) and Aryeh earned a fourth place finish (4:17.02).
In Blacksburg Friday, Balick and Aryeh continued their success during the indoor campaign. In the men's 1000m, Balick claimed a first place finish (2:23.91) and Aryeh came in right behind in the second place spot (2:24.75). Both of these times ranked in the top-5 all-time at Wake Forest for the indoor 1000m.
