Wake Forest 2024 Football Schedule:
What They're Saying & Important Information
  • Head Coach Dave Clawson:
    • "It has been great to have our players back on campus with the start of the spring semester underway. I am looking forward to our team improving this offseason and beginning spring football in a few months. Additionally, it will be a fun football season this fall and the support we receive from our fans and students inside Allegacy Stadium gives our team tremendous energy on gamedays. We have been to a bowl game in seven of the past eight seasons and I know our team is excited to compete against a tough non-conference and ACC schedule this fall. As I have said many times, when the crowd is loud and Allegacy Stadium is full, we have a distinct home field advantage."
  • Director of Athletics John Currie:
    • "We are fired up to have our 2024 home schedule set for Wake Forest football in Allegacy Stadium beginning with a big Opening Night game against fellow Triad institution North Carolina A&T on Thursday, Aug. 29. We are delighted to get back to a seven-game home schedule, which brings more football fun for the entire community including ACC games against longtime conference partners UVA, Clemson and Duke, a first-ever trip to Winston-Salem for our new member, Cal-Berkeley. Additionally, we have non-conference games against Ole Miss and Louisiana for Homecoming & Family Weekend games, respectively. I appreciate our fans making plans now to purchase season tickets and help create the Best Fan Experience in North Carolina in Allegacy Stadium this fall as the Deacons look to build on our 23-7 in Winston-Salem since 2019, one of the best home records in all of the Power 4. With that, remember the 'One More Rule' as you make plans for this upcoming football season!"

Multiple sellouts are expected next fall and season tickets are the best way for fans to optimize the value of all of Allegacy Stadium's seating options and pricing. There are many exclusive benefits and renewal prizes for season ticket members, including access to the team, tickets to various away football games, and much more. Annual Seat Rights Overview
The new Annual Seat Rights option gives fans the ability to lock in their same seats on an annual basis without a multi year commitment. This peace-of-mind initiative enables season ticket holders to keep their same preferred seat location adjacent to Deacon friends and family on an annual basis. Additionally for ease of purchase, payment plans or up-front purchases are available for all who opt-in to the program.

With that, purchasers of this program have the ability to lock in their selected seats for a one-year or a longer term up-front option of five years at 20 percent discount. To participate in the program, there is an annual seat rights payment added on to the ticket cost which allows for the same seat renewals each year.

"We've created the Annual Seat Rights program at the request of loyal Deacon fans who want to lock in their seat location every year, but might not feel they are in a position to make a 10-or-15 year seat rights commitment," Senior Associate AD Brendan Jones said. "With nine sold out games since 2021 and exciting upcoming home matchups against our traditional and ACC foes as well as SEC and Big Ten opponents like Ole Miss and Purdue, respectively, season tickets through the annual seat rights program is a great way for fans to optimize the value of an Allegacy Stadium experience. Additionally, there are multiple exclusive benefits and renewal prizes for those who purchase season tickets that include access to the team, tickets to various away football games and much more."

Here is a breakdown of the annual and five-year option pricing for specific sections for ticket purchasers.

Revenue Allocation from Annual Seat Rights Program
As announced prior to the 2023 season, Wake Forest Athletics continues to use its resources to provide The Best Fan Experience in North Carolina for all attendees at football games inside Allegacy Stadium.

Those aforementioned enhancements included:
  • New LED Lighting
    • Allegacy Stadium shined brighter last season with the addition of new LED stadium lights, to be installed by Musco, an industry leader in the design, manufacturing and installation of sports lighting solutions.
    • Replacement of the old light banks with energy efficient LED light reflects Wake Forest's sustainability efforts and also improves dependability for both the record setting crowds in attendance but also ABC, ESPN and ACC Network national television audiences.
    • And, the new technology enabled exciting multi-color light shows to enhance the moment every time the Deacs "Open the Gates" prior to kick-off and in big moments throughout the game!
  • New Field Turf at Allegacy Stadium:
    • Wake Forest football played on a new turf surface during the 2023 season as is further commitment of Athletics goal to provide a World Class Student-Athlete Experience.
  • Handrails Between Sections & Stairs on Deacon Hill
    • To make it easier for all fans to get to their seats handrails were installed in all stadium aisles in both the west and east side stands.
    • Additionally, Wake Forest Athletics built permanent stairs on each side of Deacon Hill to help fans access their location and back to the concourse. These stairs are a key addition for not only Athletics events but future outside events (i.e. concerts, shows, etc.).
  • New Concessions Options for Fans:
    • With the help of new concessions & catering partner Proof of the Pudding, Wake Forest Athletics is able to offer grab-and-go options for fans throughout Allegacy Federal Credit Union Stadium.
  • Tickets & Parking Enhancements
    • Wake Forest fans also enjoy a hassle-free digital wallet experience. ONEpass allows fans to download their ticket(s) once and it will automatically rotate to display one ticket at a time, updating before each event automatically. Gone are the days of having all your season digital tickets in your wallet - it will now be one at a time!
    • All parking passes were scanned upon entrance to the parking lot last fall, providing a safeguard to make sure all lots are filled with parking pass holders and not filled up with non-pass holders.
Fans are encouraged to stay tuned to GoDeacs.com and @WakeFB for more fan information ahead of the 2024 season. Specific items that are under consideration for future years inside Allegacy Stadium are a new sound system, a renovated Bob McCreary Video Board Honoring the Class of 1961, and seating enhancements and additions throughout Allegacy Stadium.

Wake Forest Football Overview
Under the leadership of head coach Dave Clawson, Wake Forest has had historic success as a program.

Since the start of the 2016 season, the Deacs have the third-most wins in the ACC not counting the COVID-shortened 2020 season.

The Demon Deacons are in the winningest stretch of football in their program's history with the 35 wins from the 2019-23 season ranking fifth in a five-year span in program history.

With record-setting crowds, multiple sellouts and the best student attendance in school history, playing at home over the past five seasons has given Wake Forest a huge edge. The Demon Deacons hold a 23-7 (.767) record in home contests since the start of the 2019 season which included a program-record 11-game winning streak spanning from the 2020 to 2022 seasons. The 76.7 percent win rate ranks second in the ACC during that time period.

The Demon Deacons recorded their ninth sellout since 2021 and fourth of the season when Florida State came to Winston-Salem on Oct. 28, 2023.

Since 2016, the Demon Deacons have found a winning formula in one-score ball games, capturing three or more wins by one score in five of those seasons with a total of 21 wins in 38 such games. The Deacs hold the fourth-best winning percentage in those games since 2016 in the ACC.

All the aforementioned victories are due to having great players who perform well each week. The Deacs 54 All-ACC honors is the fifth most overall in the ACC since the 2019 season and Wake Forest is one of just six schools to have more than 50 honorees in that time span.

One player that garnered All-ACC honors last fall is junior defensive end Jasheen Davis as he has recorded at least 0.5 tackles-for-loss in the 20 of his last 21 games. Over the last two seasons, Davis has collected 30.0 tackles for loss and 14.5 sacks. With 7.5 sacks in 2023, Davis has now tallied 20.0 sacks in his career and that ranks fifth in program history.

Offensively since the start of the 2017 season, Wake Forest's 198 touchdown passes are the most of any school in the ACC and that total is 13th nationally during that span. Additionally during that span, the Deacs 361 total touchdowns are the third-most in the ACC and 21st nationally. North Carolina (192) and Clemson (181) trail the Deacs in passing touchdowns during that span. The Tigers enter the final week of the regular season with 448 total touchdowns and the Tar Heels rank second with 366. Wake Forest's 94 touchdown passes from 2021-23 ranks eighth nationally in that time period and is seven more than any other ACC team (North Carolina, 87).

During the Deacs run of bowl appearances from 2016-22, Wake Forest has defeated two SEC teams (Texas A&M, 2017; Missouri, 2022) and a Big Ten program (Rutgers, 2021). Head coach Dave Clawson's five bowl victories, which is the most in school history, ranks tied for fifth in ACC history for postseason wins. Clawson ranks behind Bobby Bowden (Florida State, 11), Dabo Swinney (Clemson, 11), Frank Beamer (Virginia Tech, 6) and Danny Ford (Clemson, 6). Meanwhile, he is now tied with Jimbo Fisher (Florida State, 5) and Ralph Friedgen (Maryland, 5).
