Demon Deacons Sit Inside Top 5 Ahead of Final Round of Ruth’s Chris

Three Deacs will start the final day inside the top 20.
CHAPEL HILL, N.C. - The Wake Forest women's golf team sits in fourth place and six strokes off the lead after 36 holes of play at the Ruth's Chris Intercollegiate at Finley Golf Club.
Junior Anne-Sterre den Dunnen paced the Deacs on day two, shooting an even-par 70 that included four birdies. She dropped back-to-back putts on the 11th and 12th holes to go one under before finishing even.
Senior Carolina Chacarra is still the low Deac of the event, even after shooting a two-over 72 on the second day. After her three-under first round and two-over second, she remains inside the top-5 on the individual leaderboard at T4.
Sophomore Macy Pate also shot a two-over 72 in her second round. After starting the day with a birdie on the first hole, she dropped one more putt before making the turn and dropped another on her second nine before ending the day.
Graduate Sky Sload and freshman Sarah Lydic went five-over and six-over in their second rounds, but each recorded two birdies throughout their rounds to bring the team total to 26. Chacarra continues to lead all players in scoring on the par threes.
Sunday's Final Round
The final 18 holes of play will start Sunday morning with a shotgun at 9:30 a.m. Wake Forest will start on holes one through four and will be paired with Michigan State, Tennessee and Louisville.
