CHARLOTTE, N.C. - Wake Forest women's golf senior Carolina Chacarra has been named the Women's Golfer of the Month for October by the Atlantic Coast Conference.
The Deacs played three of their five fall tournaments in the month of October and Chacarra never finished outside the top five individually. Wake Forest as a team also did not finish outside the top three as a team in any of those tournaments.
For the month, Chacarra finished second at the Ruth's Chris Intercollegiate and won the Jackson T. Stephen's Cup. Most recently, she finished T4 at the Charles Schwab Collegiate where Wake Forest won the team title by three strokes.
Chacarra is currently ranked No. 4 in the NCAA by Scoreboard and has a team-leading stroke average of 70.2 over 16 rounds played this fall.
No. 14 Wake Forest will start the spring season Feb. 16-18, 2025, at the Moon Golf Invitational in Melbourne, Florida.
