The Demon Deacons will meet with Syracuse for the second time this season in an ACC Tournament first round match at Spry Stadium.
CHARLOTTE, N.C. – The Wake Forest men's soccer team will be in search of its fourth ACC Men's Soccer Championship, as the 2024 version of the tournament will begin on Wednesday, Nov. 6, as the No. 5 seeded Demon Deacons are hosting No. 12 seeded Syracuse in a first round match at Spry Stadium.
Kick-off for the match is scheduled for 7 p.m. and will be streamed on ACC Network Extra.
Entering postseason play, the Demon Deacons are 8-4-5 overall, completing the ACC slate with a 4-2-2 record following Friday evening's 1-0 shutout victory over No. 12 NC State.
In late September and into October, Wake Forest collected a seven-match unbeaten streak, scoring ACC victories over Syracuse, Boston College and Virginia Tech along with non-conference wins against ETSU and UNCW. Additionally, Wake Forest recorded 0–0 draws against Wofford and current No. 5 Duke during that 5-0-2 stretch.
Wake Forest remains the most recent conference program to win back-to-back ACC Tournament titles, doing so in 2016 and 2017.
