The sophomore is the third Demon Deacons in the last two seasons selected to the all-conference team.

CHARLOTTE, N.C. - Set to host the 2024 Field Hockey ACC Championship at Kenter Stadium starting tomorrow, sophomore Mia Schoenbeck was named to Second Team All-ACC for her efforts this season, as announced by the Atlantic Coast Conference on Monday afternoon.

"We are all incredibly excited for Mia's presence on this squad," head coach Jen Averill said. "She has shown that her dynamic style of play can and does influence the game. She is a hard worker who thrives in competitive situations."

Schoenbeck is one of three Demon Deacons to start every match this season and recorded three goals and two assists in her second season in the Old Gold & Black.

The sophomore got on the ledger in the Deacs second match of the year, playing a beautiful aerial into fellow second-year Faye Janse, who knocked down the pass and fired a shot into the left side of the cage to put Wake Forest up against Michigan.

Schoenbeck opened the scoring for Wake Forest off a Demon Deacon penalty corner against VCU and added her second assist of the year against Kent State.

The Louisville, Kentucky native recorded the first brace of her career in Wake's 6-0 victory over Davidson earlier this year, as she scored a pair of fourth-quarter goals to cap the win for the Demon Deacon.

Schoenbeck and Wake Forest open postseason play taking on the No. 2 seed and No. 6 nationally Duke in the quarterfinals of the 2024 ACC Field Hockey Championships at 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 5 with tournament action will be broadcast on the ACC Network.
