Jonah Mednard Selected to Haiti’s U-20 National Team Roster

HAITI -- Wake Forest men's soccer's Jonah Mednard has been named to the latest U-20 Haitian National Team roster, the Haitian Football Federation recently announced.

Mednard was named to a roster that will train together this month before three Concacaf Under-20 Championship qualifiers against the Cayman Islands (Feb. 23), St. Kitts and Nevis (Feb. 25) and Puerto Rico (Feb. 27).

Mednard joined the Demon Deacons prior to the 2023 season, as he helped Wake Forest to a fifth ACC Atlantic Division title in nine seasons – most of any conference program since the current format was unveiled prior to the start of the 2014 season. The Congers, N.Y., native assisted the Deacs with preparation throughout the fall as Wake Forest recorded seven clean sheets including four against ACC opponents.

Mednard is the eighth Demon Deacons to be selected for international representation since April 2022 including teammate Sidney Paris who has received multiple selections from Puerto Rico's senior national team.

Alistair Johnston started and played every minute for Canada during the group stage of the 2022 FIFA World Cup.
