Demon Deacons Prepare for the JDL Last Chance Invite on Saturday

Wake Forest will compete in its last indoor action before turning focus to ACC Indoor Track & Field Championships.

WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. - The indoor campaign begins to heat up for the Wake Forest men's and women's indoor track & field teams. The Demon Deacons are gearing up for the JDL Last Chance Invite on Saturday Feb. 17.

Last weekend, the Deacs secured three first place finishes at the Darius Dixon Invitational. Robbie Grace and Amanda Schaare both broke meet records at Liberty. Along with the meet record, Grace also holds the best long jump in Wake Forest program history with a 6.22m jump. Schaare claimed first place with a 15.91m throw in the shot put.

Thomas Kitchell finished first for his seventh podium finish of the indoor campaign in the shot put in Lynchburg, Va. Kitchell recorded a 19.19m throw in the event.

Competing for the Deacs Up Next
The indoor campaign begins to heat up as the Deacs will head to Boston for the ACC Indoor Track & Field Championships from February 22-24.
