No. 3 Wake Forest Set to Face Georgia Monday

The Demon Deacons are unbeaten against the Bulldogs (4-0) this century.
WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. – Following a magical run, which resulted in the program's first ITA National Indoor semifinal appearance since 2019, the third-ranked Wake Forest men's tennis team will travel to face Georgia Monday evening at the Dan Magill Tennis Complex in Athens, Ga.
First serve for Monday's showdown is slated for 2:30 p.m. The match can be streamed live here, while live results can be found here.

Last Time Out (ITA National Team Indoor Semifinals)
Facing its sixth-straight top-15 opponent, Wake Forest dropped a 4-2 decision to then-defending back-to-back indoor champions and second-seeded TCU in the semifinals of the ITA National Team Indoor Championship at the Philip & Cheryl Milstein Family Tennis Center in New York City.
Despite the loss, the Demon Deacons (9-3, 0-0 ACC) are an impressive 5-3 against top-20 opponents to start the 2024 campaign.
After going down a break, the pairing of Matthew Thomson/Filippo Moroni stormed back to clinch the doubles point for Wake Forest with a 6-4 win on court two. Of note, then-No. 7 DK Suresh Ekambaram/Holden Koons remained unbeaten in doubles action this season (8-0) with a 6-3 win over then-No. 8 Gorzny/Vives of TCU.
In singles, freshman Luca Pow continued his excellent rookie campaign, notching a straight-set win on court six to improve to 10-2 this season. Pow became the lone Demon Deacon to go unbeaten for the tournament as he currently owns a four-match winning streak.
Of note, last Sunday marked the Deacs' first national semifinal appearance since 2019.

In the latest ITA Rankings, Wake Forest was ranked third nationally – marking the team's highest ranking since 2019. Additionally, the Demon Deacons have four singles players and one doubles pair currently ranked.

Georgia is entering Monday's contest with a 4-3 record overall, including a 3-1 mark at home. The Bulldogs are currently ranked No. 40 nationally. Most recently, Georgia dropped a 6-1 decision to then-No. 25 North Carolina.

Monday will mark the 21st all-time meeting between the Demon Deacons and the Bulldogs, as Georgia owns a 16-4 ledger. However, since the turn of the century, Wake Forest is unbeaten against the Bulldogs (4-0).
