Wake Forest Secured Three Podium Finishes at the Darius Dixon and Eagle Elite Invitationals

Robbie Grace Shattered the Wake Forest program record in the indoor women’s long jump.
LYNCHBURG, VA. - The Wake Forest men's and women's indoor track & field teams concluded Friday's meets with one first place finish. The Demon Deacons also secured six podium finishes during the Darius Dixon and Eagle Elite Invitationals.
Robbie Grace had a record setting day at the Liberty Indoor Track Complex. Grace claimed first place in the women's long jump on Friday afternoon. Not only did she earn first place honors but she also etched her name in the Wake Forest record books. Grace now holds the furthest long jump in program history with a 6.22m jump.
Wake Forest Women's Indoor Long Jump
Along with Grace, Gavin Ehlers earned a podium finish in Lynchburg, Va. Ehlers finished second in the men's 3000m with a time of 8:24.92. At the Eagle Elite Invitational, Jack Balick added a third place finish to the podium count for the weekend. Balick ran a 1:48.30 in the men's 800m, which makes him third all-time in Wake Forest history.
Alli Boehm and Mackenzie Hart added two podium finishes in the women's 5000m invite. Boehm finished in second place with a time of 16:55.36. Hart finished right behind her in third place and ran a 17:03.47.
Megan Cook secured the final podium of Friday in the women's weight throw. Cook launched a 19.01m throw and finished in second place, the throw ranked second all-time in Wake Forest history for the indoor weight throw.
The Deacs look to carry over their success into Saturday's events at the Darius Dixon and Eagle Elite Invitationals. The Darius Dixon Invitational begins at 9:00 a.m. with the women's high jump, live results can be found here and will be streamed on ESPN+. The Eagle Elite Invitational begins at 10:30 a.m. with the men's shot put, live results can be found here.
