Deacs Finish Round Two of Calusa Cup

NAPLES, Fla.- The Wake Forest men's golf team concluded round two of play at the Calusa Cup at Calusa Pines Golf Club on Monday.
The Demon Deacons wrap up the day in third place with a score of 585 (+9).
Junior Scotty Kennon had the lowest score of the day, 73 (+1), and ended round two in third place on the individual leaderboard. After 36 holes, he is 4-under-par.
He looks to continue his strong play, as he is in search of his first individual collegiate title.
Senior Michael Brennan finds himself tied for 17th at 3-over par. He ends round two with a score of 76 (+4).
No. 16 Florida leads the field at 7-under par. The Gators were the only team to shoot under par on Monday.
Wake Forest leads the tournament in birdies made with Scotty Kennon and Andrew McLauchlan both with ten for the tournament.
From Coach Haas:
"We got off to a great start and had a little bit of a rough patch through the middle of the round, but finished with a couple nice birdies at the last to end the day on a good note. We are going off early tomorrow so it'll be a quick turnaround. We need to forget about today and be ready to play in the morning. The course is in great shape and the greens should be smooth to make some putts. Let's go Demon Deacons!"
