Rachel Schneider Joins Volleyball Staff as Program Coordinator

WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. – Having reached a midpoint of the summer, Wake Forest volleyball has added a new face to its staff with Rachel Schneider being named Program Coordinator, announced by head coach Randi Smart on Friday, July 12. Schneider will manage all day-to-day operations for the Demon Deacons.
"We are really excited about Rachel," said Coach Smart. "She is extremely intelligent, charismatic and hard-working. She is a tremendous asset to all of us and I'm honored she said yes to be here at Wake!"
For the last four years, Schneider acted as the head student manager for the University of Toledo's volleyball program. Her duties included:
Outside of her time with the Rockets' volleyball program, Schneider also served as a student-athlete content tutor from January to December 2022. She mainly tutored several student-athletes on a weekly basis in Science, Math, English, and Spanish while additionally teaching strategies for time management, individual learning and organization.
Schneider obtained a Bachelor of Science in Pharmaceutical Sciences from Toledo this past spring, holding Valedictorian status for the university's Class of 2024. Her efforts in the classroom were rewarded with the Jesup Scott Honors College Medallion and College of Pharmacy Departmental Honors.

- Supervising and training other student managers on roles and responsibilities
- Collaborating with coaches and players to prepare for matches and practices
- Tracking and analyzing team statistics during matches and practices using VolleyStation
- Syncing practice film and coding for student-athletes to review using Volleymetrics
- Designing new spreadsheets for in-match statistics
- Tracking players' statistical performances
- Creating team itineraries and handling food for team travel
