WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. - The defending Atlantic Coast Conference champion Demon Deacons and coaches Kim Lewellen and Ryan Potter have announced the women's golf schedule for the upcoming season.
Wake Forest will return for the fourth consecutive time to open their fall season at the ANNIKA Intercollegiate presented by 3M in Lake Elmo, Minnesota, Sept 9-11 before traveling back to Chicago for the Windy City Classic. The Deacs finished third at the ANNIKA and T-fourth and the Windy City Classic in 2023.
After a complete redesign of Finley Golf Club in 2023 in Chapel Hill, Wake will play in the Ruth's Chris Intercollegiate hosted by North Carolina. The Deacs won the team title and individual title in October 2021 and finished second in the event in October 2022.
The reigning Jackson T. Stephens Cup champions will return to the event for a third-straight year later in October. This season's installment will be played at the Oklahoma City Golf and Country Club in Oklahoma City. The Deacs won the event in 2023 at Trinity Golf Club in Dallas, Texas. Wake will then wrap the fall slate at the Charles Schwab Collegiate in Fort Worth, Texas, October 28-29.
The spring 2025 season will begin with a return to the Moon Golf Invitational in Melbourne, Florida, Feb. 16-18, where the Deacs competed in the spring of 2024. Two weeks later the Deacs will head to Long Cove Club for the highlight of the spring season, the Darius Rucker Intercollegiate, hosted by South Carolina, March 3-5.
Two more events will make up the month of March - The Old Barnwell Derby in Aiken, South Carolina, and the spring installment of the Charles Schwab Collegiate back in Fort Worth. Regular season events will conclude with the Wolfpack Match Play on April 7 at Lonnie Poole Golf Club in Raleigh.
Wake Forest will enter the 2025 ACC Championships at Sedgefield Country Club as the reigning champions before hopefully continuing postseason play at NCAA Regionals and NCAA Championships in May.
The 2025 National Championship will be held at La Costa Country Club in Carlsbad, California, for the second time and the second of three years on the calendar.
