WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. - Wake Forest men's basketball (15-6, 7-3 ACC) returns to its home floor this Saturday, hosting the Pitt Panthers (14-6, 5-4 ACC) The matchup is set for a 12 p.m. tipoff inside LJVM Coliseum.
 
The Demon Deacons are 10-1 at home this season and have accumulated 58 victories inside LJVM Coliseum since the start of the 2021-22 campaign – a total that ranks second-best in the country through that four-year span.
 
Earlier this week, Wake Forest visited No. 21 Louisville for a Tuesday road tilt. Efton Reid III recorded his first double-double of the season, finishing with 11 points and a season-high 13 rebounds. The senior big man went 5-for-6 from the floor in 37 minutes of action.
 
Hunter Sallis added 13 points and five rebounds while fellow senior Tre'Von Spillers contributed eight points, eight rebounds and two blocks.
 
Ty-Laur Johnson chipped in eight points of his own, along with four rebounds, in 30 minutes. Davin Cosby Jr. and Parker Friedrichsen made two triples apiece as reserves. For the game, Wake Forest shot 38 percent from three-point distance.
 
Across 21 games this season, Wake Forest's defense ranks first in the ACC in forced turnovers (296) and three-point percentage defense (.305), second in field goal percentage defense (.390) and total steals (156), and third in blocks (93).
 
Individually, Sallis stands as a top 10 player in both scoring (18.6 ppg/5th) and free throw percentage (82.7 percent/9th). Spillers has rested in the conference's top five all season long for rebounding, currently fourth with an 8.48 nightly average. He is also fifth in blocked shots (1.57/game). Hildreth and Johnson rank seventh and eighth, respectively, in steals among all league individuals. At the free throw line, Hildreth has shot just over 83 percent – good for eighth in the ACC.

The Matchup
Pitt has won its last two games, picking up victories over Syracuse and North Carolina. The Panthers are led by a backcourt duo of Ishmael Leggett (16.5 ppg) and Jaland Lowe (5.8 apg), with Lowe ranking fourth in the conference in assists, steals and free throw percentage. Zack Austin's 35 blocks leads the ACC, as the Panthers rank second as a team (4.7/game). Jeff Capel is in his seventh season as head coach.
