  • Field Hockey: 
    • The Demon Deacons, now ranked inside the top-10 nationally, continued their winning ways this past weekend with victories over No. 18 Louisville and an overtime result against Miami (Ohio)
    • With the win against Miami, Wake Forest holds its longest winning streak since 2008, a season that saw the Demon Deacons advance to the NCAA Semifinals, and are now 5-0 at Kentner this season. 
    • Wake Forest will continue its homestand this upcoming week with non-conference contests against Queens (Friday) and Delaware (Sunday). 
  • Women's Soccer: 
    • Following three-straight away matches including a victory at Big Four foe Duke, the Demon Deacons will return to Spry Stadium on Thursday night for a matchup with Louisville. 
    • Prior to this past weekend's slate of games, the Demon Deacons were No. 16 in RPI and tied for fourth in the ACC standings with 10 points through five matches. 
    • The Deacs remain undefeated at Spry this season with a 7-0-1 home record. 
  • Volleyball: 
    • After a pair of battles against Florida State and No. 22 Miami this past weekend, the Demon Deacons will now turn their attention to back-to-back matchups with NC State this week. 
    • The first contest against the Wolfpack will come Wednesday night in Winston-Salem, as the match is set to start at 7 p.m. and air nationally on the ACC Network. 
  • Cross Country: 
    • The No. 25 Wake Forest women's cross country team continued their solid start to the 2025 season as they secured both the team and individual titles at the Spartan Classic this past Friday. 
    • Four Demon Deacons finished inside the top-10, including three placing inside the top five, to help push the team to their second team victory of the season, having previously placed first in their opening meet of the season at the Queen City Invite.
    • The Demon Deacons will close out their regular season at the Arturo Barrios Invitational in College Station, Texas on Oct. 17.
  • Track and Field: 
    • Following a week of competition against some of the best para athletes in the world, Wake Forest junior Samantha Heyison concluded her time at the 2025 Para World Championships at the Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium in New Delhi on Friday.
    • Heyison, who represented Team USA, kicked things off by taking home a silver medal in the women's discus F44 final on Monday. The Adamstown, Md., native recorded a throw on every attempt, with her best throw of 40.65 meters coming on her third attempt to help propel her to a runner-up finish.
    • This marked Heyison's best finish in an event at the Para World Championships, having previously earned the bronze medal in both the F64 discus and F64 shot put finals at the 2023 Para World Championships in Paris.
