The Almere, Netherlands-native will compete alongside some of the best professional women’s golfers this upcoming week.
WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. - Wake Forest women's golf senior Anne-Sterre den Dunnen will make her first LPGA appearance this upcoming Thursday at the ANNIKA driven by Gainbridge at Pelican as a sponsor exemption received during the Demon Deacons' team victory this past September at the ANNIKA Intercollegiate.
Den Dunnen is in her fourth and final year with the Demon Deacons and has carded 77 rounds in 27 events for the Deacs. A native of Almere, Netherlands, the senior has totaled four top-10 finishes and a career-high top-five finish during her junior campaign.
Additionally, den Dunnen was a member of the 2023 National Championship team and two ACC championship teams. The Dutch-native highlighted her fall with the clinching point during the match play portion of the Jackson T. Stephens Cup to claim Wake Forest's second team title of the season.
Den Dunnen will tee off for round one in Belleair at 11:26 a.m. ET with live coverage on Golf Channel beginning at 10 a.m. Rounds two and three will begin at 7 a.m. ET and will follow the same coverage as day one, with the final round on Sunday, Nov. 16, starting at 8:45 a.m. ET.
Coach's Comments
"We are excited for the opportunity for Anne to play her first LPGA event here in November. Winning the ANNIKA Intercollegiate as a team allowed the team and coaches to vote for one player to participate in this prestigious event. It was unanimous that Anne would take this honor. She has been a wonderful representative for Wake Forest golf and athletics. We look forward to her participating and showcasing her skills with the best in the world." - Tony and Vi Golding Head Coach Kim Lewellen
