Coleman along with the Placide twins makes up a top-25 high school recruiting class for the Demon Deacons.
WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. - Wake Forest men's basketball and head coach Steve Forbes have announced the addition of Quentin Coleman to the 2026 recruiting class. He is the third member of a recruiting class that ranks top-25 nationally by 247 Sports, On3 and ESPN.
The four-star recruit joins twin brothers Gavin and Gallagher Placide as part of a Wake Forest recruiting class that features three top-100 high school additions, a first for the program since 2010.
"Quentin is a flat-out winner," Forbes said. "He led Principia High School to a 31-1 record and the Missouri Class 3A State Championship his junior year and led Bradley Beal to the Nike Peach Jam Championship this past summer. Q was our top recruit (guard) from the moment we first saw him play. We love his competitive spirit and his will to affect winning. I can't wait to get him on campus."
"Quentin plays for one of the best high school coaches, Jay Blossom, in the state of Missouri, and he commutes 40 minutes a day, one way, to Principia High School. Quentin is a super young man, and we are so excited to have the opportunity to coach him at Wake Forest. We welcome Quentin's parents, Bobby and Brenna, and his sister Josslyn to our Wake Forest Family."
At Principia, Coleman averages more than 19 points per game while shooting 45 percent from three and 88 percent from the free throw line. Additionally, he has averaged 6.5 rebounds and 3.5 assists per game.
He has garnered numerous accolades including being the Missouri Basketball Coaches Association (MBCA) Class 3A Player of the Year and a first-team All-State selection. He also was named Metro Player of the Year and first-team All-Metro by the St Louis Post Dispatch.
This past summer, Coleman helped lead Bradley Beal Elite to the Nike Peach Jam Championship, as he ranked top-10 in the Nike EYBL in assist/turnover ratio (5th), efficiency (5th) and Performance Index (8th).
One of the top recruits in the Class of 2026, Coleman ranks as a top-five recruit in the state of Missouri by Rivals 247 Sports and ESPN. Additionally, he is ranked No. 73 nationally by Rivals and 92 by 247 Sports.
"Quentin was one of the biggest national stock-risers of the summer," said CBS Sports Director of Basketball Scouting Adam Finkelstein. "He is a smooth and skilled guard whose most impressive weapon is his shooting. He shot 39% from 3 during the EYBL season displaying a virtually pure release that is ultra-fluid with good loft and rotation. He's a very comfortable handler who can make plays with the ball and rarely gets sped up."
