- Women's Basketball:
- With a 9-2 record on the year, the Demon Deacons begin their conference slate Sunday against George Tech at Lawrence Joel Veterans Memorial Coliseum.
- Tipoff is scheduled for 2 p.m. on ACC Network Extra.
- This past week, Wake Forest hosted a pair of games including Kids Day against William & Mary in front of more than 5,300 fans.
- Despite trailing by 25 points, the Deacs neatly completed their largest comeback in program history before falling 67-64.
- The 9-0 start was Wake Forest's best since the 2008-09 season.
- With a 9-2 record on the year, the Demon Deacons begin their conference slate Sunday against George Tech at Lawrence Joel Veterans Memorial Coliseum.
- Track & Field:
- The Demon Deacons opened their indoor track and field slate this past weekend with four meets, including a pair at the newly renovated JDL Fast Track in Winston-Salem.
- Junior Angelina Perez broke the school record for the women's indoor 5000m, clocking a time of 15:41.86 to place 10th at the Sharon Colyear-Danville Season Opener in Boston.
- The time broke an 18-year record that was set by Wake Forest Sports Hall of Famer Michelle Sikes in 2007.
- Junior Seren Rodgers secured a third place finish in the pentathlon at the Liberty Kickoff after totaling 3,771 points, moving her into sixth all-time in program history for the event.
- The Taunton, England, native also moved into seventh all-time in the women's indoor long jump after recording a jump of 5.83 meters during the competition.
- Senior Elizabeth Whaley added a first place finish in the women's mile during the JDL Early Bird Kickoff. Meanwhile, sophomore Amy Weybrecht secured a first place finish in the women's 1000m after posting a time of 2:48.99, the fifth-fastest time in program history.
- Women's Soccer:
- Redshirt-sophomore goalkeeper Valentina Amaral and freshman forward Kylie Maxwell were tabbed with All-American and All-Region honors, as announced by United Soccer Coaches on Friday. A 2024 All-Atlantic Region team recipient, this marks Amaral's second regional nod and her first All-American honor. For Maxwell, this marks her first All-Atlantic Region team award.
- Across the season, Amaral earned a .794 save percentage, which ranked fourth among the ACC. During the 2025 campaign, Amaral surpassed 2,000 minutes in net this past year, earning her a program-best career goals against average at 0.84.
- Throughout the 2025 season, Maxwell was nothing but stellar for the Wake Forest offense. The Langhorne, Pa.-native finished this past campaign leading the squad with six goals, 17 points, and 20 shots on goal, while also sitting second amongst the Deacs with five assists.
- Her efforts in the 3-2 victory over No. 9 Duke in the regular season not only earned her ACC Co-Offensive Player of the Week, but saw her named ACC Freshman of the Year.
