Houston Takes Home ACC Player of the Week Honors

The weekly award marks the first of Houston’s career.
WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. – Wake Forest baseball's junior shortstop Marek Houston earned ACC Player of the Week honors following his Opening Weekend performances against LIU and Marist the league announced on Monday afternoon.
Houston went a ridiculous 10-for-14 (.714) at the plate, including 13 RBIs and 11 runs scored over four games during the weekend.
The junior played a big role in helping the Demon Deacons record 10+ runs in the first four games of a season for the first time in program history, including home runs in each of the first three games of the year.
Matching his career high with four RBI, Houston capped the weekend with a 3-for-3 performance on Sunday, including a double and four runs scored.
The Nokomis, Fla. native finds himself among the best in the nation in nearly every offensive category after the first week of play.
Houston and the rest of the Demon Deacons return to action at UNCG tomorrow with first pitch slated for 5 p.m. ET on ESPN+.
