  • Women's Golf: 
    • Senior Carolina Chacarra and sophomore Macy Pate competed in the Augusta National Women's Amateur.
      • In Chacarra's fifth and final time at the ANWA, she finished T17 through the first two rounds at Champion's Retreat and qualified for the final round held at historic Augusta National. 
      • The Madrid, Spain, native shot an impressive four strokes under par during Saturday's round, including three back-to-back birdies and an eagle which secured a top-10 finish for the senior. 
      • During her first outing at ANWA, Pate finished even through the first two rounds and T33, including seven birdies in 36 holes of golf. 
  • Women's Tennis: 
    • The Demon Deacons faced off against three ranked-teams last week to close out the road portion of their season.
      • Wake Forest grabbed the final two singles matches of the day against No. 40 Charlotte to start the week with a 4-3 victory on Wednesday afternoon.
        • Junior Nevena Carton and redshirt sophomore Krystal Blanch both picked up clutch three-set victories, with Blanch securing a 3-6, 6-2, 7-5, win at second singles to tie the match before Carton clinched the win at first singles (6-4, 6-7, 7-5).
      • The Deacs finished off their road slate against No. 71 Miami and No. 75 Florida State, falling to the Hurricanes, 4-0, on Friday, before losing to the Seminoles on Sunday, 4-1.
        • Wake Forest clinched the doubles point against Florida State following wins from Blanch and graduate student Makayla Mills at first doubles (6-3), as well as graduate student Anna Zhang and junior Whitley Pate at third doubles (6-3).
    • Wake Forest finishes its regular season this upcoming weekend against Stanford and California.
      • The Deacs open the weekend at Leighton Courts on Friday afternoon against Stanford before taking on California on Sunday as part of Senior and Graduates Day.
  • Track & Field: 
    • Making a return to High Point for the second time in three weeks, the Wake Forest track and field team competed in the VertKlasse Meet this past weekend.
      • On day one, three Demon Deacons notched top-10 finishes, led by Abby Stankus in the women's high jump. The sophomore posted a mark of 1.55 meters that was good to tie for fourth place.
      • Day two was highlighted by a third-place finish in the women's shot put from Gera with a toss of 14.13m.
      • Sophomore Samantha Heyison, who was recently named to the USA National Team for the third-consecutive year, also competed in the discus (39.79m) and shot put (11.89m) alongside Gera. Her mark in the shot put set a new personal-best.
    • Wake Forest will return to action this weekend at the Duke Invitational in Durham, N.C. from April 10-12. 
  • Volleyball: 
    • Head coach Jeff Hulsmeyer announced two updates to his staff on Monday, as Todd Garvey was named an assistant coach while Drew Langston took over the role of Director of Volleyball Operations.
    • With 10-plus years of coaching experience at the collegiate level, Garvey comes to Wake Forest following a year spent on the volleyball staff at Liberty. Throughout his career, he has also served as head coach at Jacksonville State for five seasons (2018-22) and worked in assistant roles for Lipscomb, Ohio and Purdue.
    • In his new role, Langston will manage all day-to-day aspects of the program, including administrative, statistical, logistical and recruiting areas.
