
Kennon and Meisel Selected to All-ACC Team

CHARLOTTE, N.C.- Wake Forest men's golf seniors Marshall Meisel and Scotty Kennon were named to the All-ACC team, as announced by the league office on Tuesday.
The Deacs have now had 91 All-ACC honorees in program history, ranking first in conference history.
This marks the 44th all-conference honor in the Jerry Haas era including 15 years with multiple honorees. Additionally, this is also the 25th consecutive year that at least one Demon Deacon has been named to the All-ACC team.
This is the second consecutive year that Kennon has earned All-ACC honors, while Meisel was named for the first time in his career.
A History of ACC Champions
In the 70 ACC Championships that have been held, the Deacs have accounted for a third of the individual titles, the most in conference history.
The rich history of ACC individual champions dates back to the first ACC Championship in 1954 when Arnold Palmer won at Old Town Club in Winston-Salem:

This season saw Wake Forest's fourth appearance in match play at the ACC Championship, with only Georgia Tech and Florida State having the same amount of appearances.
Meisel's Senior Season Highlights
Meisel played his best golf at the end of the season as he was the Deacs top finisher for the final four tournaments of the season. He finished the season with a 71.68 scoring average which ranked first on the team and was his lowest scoring average since his freshman season.
After a stellar senior season, Meisel now ranks ninth in career scoring leaders. Ranked No. 32 in the PGA Tour University rankings, Meisel was named an All-American and claimed PING All-Region honors.
Meisel was the highest Demon Deacon on the individual leaderboard at the NCAA Amherst Regional finishing in a tie for sixth place, marking his fifth top-10 finish of the season. During the final round, Meisel was 3-under-par and was the lone Deac to be bogey free for the entire day. This was the second consecutive round that he was bogey free after posting a 4-under score in round two. In total, he was bogey free over his last 38 holes in the competition.
Meisel carded the low round for the Deacs each day at the ACC Championship, turning in three under-par rounds of 71, 69, 71. Meisel contended for medalist honors before finishing T6 at five-under, claiming his fourth top-10 finish of the 2024-25 season.
In the fall, the senior fired a final round of 69 (-3) and finished runner-up at the Hamptons Intercollegiate. Meisel shot rounds of 70-73-69 to finish the tournament in second place at 4-under par. This was his best career-finish, and it was his first top-five finish of his senior season.
Kennon's Senior Season Highlights
For the second consecutive year, the Ponte Vedra Beach native has claimed PING All-Region honors and All-ACC honors.
Kennon ranked No. 28 in the PGA Tour University rankings while also earning All-Region during his senior campaign. During his career, he captured two individual titles while also being a part of a number of team titles including the 2022 ACC Championship as a freshman.
This season, Kennon posted a career-low 71.25 scoring average and had a total of five top-10 finishes and seven top-25 finishes. Throughout his career as a Demon Deacon, Kennon has claimed two individual titles.
Kennon captured his first collegiate title in 2024 at the Calusa Cup, setting a tournament record shooting six-under par. This fall, Kennon claimed his second collegiate title at the 54th Furman Invitational with a score of 202 (-11), the lowest 54-hole score in the history of the tournament.
