Stefan Dostanic, Luciano Tacchi, Charlie Robertson and head coach Tony Bresky all earned Carolina Regional honors.

WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. –  Following the program's second NCAA championship last month, four members of the Wake Forest men's tennis team were honored with Carolina Regional awards as announced by the ITA Tuesday morning.

Tony Bresky - ITA Carolina Regional Coach of the Year
Since arriving at Wake Forest head coach Tony Bresksy has now been tabbed ITA Regional Coach of the Year on six occasions (2015, 2017, 2018, 2019, 2024, 2025) after winning it back-to-back over the last two years. This season, he led Wake Forest to its second NCAA championship, second ITA National Team Indoor Championship and fourth ACC regular season title. Individually in 2025, Bresky coached five All-ACC members and four All-Americans.

The Demon Deacons finished the 2025 campaign with a program and ACC record 40 wins, with 25 coming against ranked opponents. Wake Forest separated itself from the rest of the competition by earning 11 victories against top-10 opponents and seven against teams inside the top five.

Wake Forest also recorded an incredible 79-21 mark in doubles, taking 38 of the 41 possible opening points this season. The 38 doubles points this campaign is believed to be an NCAA record. In singles, the Deacs went a combined 138-42 as they set program records in both singles and doubles victories.

Bresky became the third coach in Wake Forest history to win multiple national championships, joining Jen Averill (Field Hockey) and Jesse Haddock (Men's Golf).

During his tenure at Wake Forest, Bresky has amassed 369 wins, making him the winningest head coach in program history.

Wake Forest's Team Success Under Bresky
  • NCAA Championship: 2018, 2025
  • ACC Tournament: 2016, 2018, 2019
  • ACC Regular Season: 2017, 2018, 2019, 2025
  • ITA National Team Indoor Championship: 2018, 2025
Stefan Dostanic - ITA Carolina Regional Senior Player of the Year
Closing out his highly-decorated collegiate career with a national championship, Dostanic served as Wake Forest's No. 1 throughout the year and played a major role in the program's success.

In the national championship against TCU, he wrapped up an incredibly dominant NCAA tournament as he took down No. 8 Jack Pinnington (6-3, 6-1) for his second top-10 win in three days. Dostanic, ranked No. 7 nationally in the final ITA poll, finished 12-3 overall in a Wake Forest uniform with 11 of his 13 wins coming against ranked opponents.

The Irvine, Calif.-native went 5-0 in the tournament which saw him named tournament MVP. Of note, the aforementioned win was his second victory over Pinnington of the season in a national title match, as he was the deciding victory at ITA National Indoors in February. Dostanic was named All-ACC Second Team in singles as well as a singles and doubles All-American.

Overall this season, Wake Forest recorded an incredible 28-6 (.824) record on the first singles court and dropped it just once in the last 15 matches.

Charlie Robertson - ITA Carolina Regional Rookie of the Year
Prior to arriving in America earlier this year, freshman standout Charlie Robertson was ranked No. 8 in the world in junior ranking after making the semifinals of the junior US Open and finishing third at the junior world championships. He was also the  No. 1-ranked junior in the United Kingdom.

The Scot did not disappoint in his debut season of college tennis. In his first-ever collegiate match, he clinched the victory against Georgia (Feb. 1) with a clutch 6-7 (5-7), 7-6 (7-5), 7-5 win on court four. After a slight adjusting period from Feb. 8 to Feb. 25, where he dropped six-straight matches, he then went on a remarkable run by winning eight straight, including a perfect 5-0 record in ACC play.

Robertson lost his first match in over two months in the opening round of the NCAA tournament, but bounced back the following day with a straight-set win over Kentucky's Charlelie Cosnet and then clinched the quarterfinal match against Columbia's Hugo Hashimoto.

The Dundee, Scotland-native finished his first collegiate season with a 12-8 record and two ranked wins. He earned All-American and First-Team All-ACC honors alongside DK Suresh Ekambaram in doubles and will undoubtedly be competing for more accolades over the next few years with the Demon Deacons.

Of note, this is Wake Forest's second-consecutive season winning this award after now-sophomore Luca Pow achieved the honor in 2024.

Luciano Tacchi - ITA Rafael Osuna Sportsmanship
As the Intercollegiate Tennis Association's longest-running award, the Rafael Osuna Sportsmanship Award honors the life and legacy of the person many would call the greatest collegiate tennis player of all time.

"This player should have demonstrated extraordinary commitment and unwavering dedication to his team; with exceptional hard work, courage, sportsmanship, and a positive, cooperative attitude that makes people around him play better."

Nobody better suits this criteria than Wake Forest's own Luciano Tacchi

A leader on and off the court, Tacchi posted a 15-9 singles record on the season and brought his career singles wins (dual match play only) total to 63, the most out of any active player in a Wake Forest uniform at the conclusion of the campaign. Tacchi only dropped two matches in his last 17 outings dating back to March 7.

For the second-consecutive season, the Argentine clinched Wake Forest's Round of 16 match, this time with a win on court five against Texas A&M's Togan Tokac.

In doubles, Tacchi, alongside Pow, led the team in doubles victories in 2025 with 18 wins to just four losses. They went 2-0 in Dallas at the ITA National Indoor Championships before earning their highest-ranked win to date over No. 3 Bulte/Rihane of Florida State on March 16.

The two earned All-American honors in the fall to go along with winning the ITA Carolina Regional. They were recently tabbed Third Team All-ACC Doubles and ended the season ranked No. 16 nationally.
