
Ava Moore Named to Team USA Women’s 2025 Junior Pan American Games Roster

Moore is one of 16 named to the American squad.
WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. - Wake Forest field hockey's Ava Moore has been selected as a member of the USA Women's 2025 Junior Pan American Games Roster, USA Field Hockey announced this week.
"We are extremely proud and thrilled for Ava to be able to showcase her talent with the rest of the USA squad in a premier event," head coach Jen Averill said. "She has worked hard to continue to grow and develop her craft and decision-making skills. Go Team USA and Ava!
The Junior Pan American Games are a multi-sport event held every four years among youth athletes from all over the American continent. The Games have been organized by PanAm Sports. This event, inspired by the Youth Olympic Games, is exclusively for athletes under 21 years of age, with fewer infrastructure requirements and costs than the Pan American Games.
The Pan American Games started in 1951 and spawned the Junior Pan American Games, aimed at promoting young athletes. The first edition was held in 2021 in Cali, Colombia, marking an important milestone for the sport in the continent.
The squad will have a training camp August 5 to 7 in Charlotte, N.C. and will depart for Paraguay on August 7. Once on ground they will have training August 8, 9 and 10. Games will take place August 11 to 19.

Moore started 16 matches while appearing in all 18 games as a sophomore. She recorded her first point of the year with an assist at James Madison and added the third goal of her career and first of the season against Cal. The Southampton, N.J. native totaled 20 shots with 10 on frame during her second season.
