
Wake Forest and Vanderbilt to Start Home-and-Home Series with First Contest Set For Dec. 21 at LJVM Coliseum

This season’s matchup against Vanderbilt will mark the first against the Commodores since a Maui Invitational contest during the 2015-16 season.
WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. - In the continued effort to provide the Best Fan Experience in North Carolina and ensure Wake Forest student-athletes have the opportunity to compete at the highest level, the Demon Deacons men's basketball program has announced a home-and-home series with the SEC's Vanderbilt. The first contest between the Demon Deacons and Commodores will take place on Sunday, Dec. 21 at LJVM Coliseum.
The second matchup between Wake Forest and Vanderbilt will take place during the 2026-27 season at Memorial Gymnasium in Nashville, Tenn.

In the continued effort to provide a World Class Student-Athlete Experience, the Best Fan Experience in North Carolina and bringing Value to Wake Forest, Winston-Salem and the Triad Communities, Wake Forest Athletics is offering seat rights options again for men's basketball season ticket holders for the 2025-26 season.
Fans who participate in the Annual Seat Rights Program have the ability to lock in their seating location on an annual basis, rather than having their seats reassigned each season. Annual Seat Rights provides fans more flexibility and the assurance that fans can renew their existing seat location, or receive first priority to upgrade into the best seating options available, ahead of each men's basketball season.

A Look At The Matchup
The Demon Deacons earned 21 victories and the program's first-ever double bye in the ACC Tournament. With 13 ACC victories – tied for the most in a single season in school history and the second time in four seasons the Deacs have hit that mark – Wake Forest earned its highest regular season finish since the 2008-09 campaign.
Wake Forest matched the school record for road ACC victories with six and became the only ACC program to sweep the West Coast swing with victories at Stanford and Cal. Additionally, the Deacs set a new program record for ACC victories over a four-year span with 47 since the beginning of the 2021-22 campaign.
Vanderbilt, meanwhile, finished the 2024-25 season with a 20-13 record in the program's first season under head coach Mark Byington, earning a 10 seed in the NCAA Tournament before falling to Saint Mary's in the first round.
This season's matchup at LJVM Coliseum will be the first in Winston-Salem between the program's since an 88-78 Demon Deacon victory on Nov. 21, 2006.
