Highlights
Under the leadership of ITA National Coach of the Year Tony Bresky, as well as the stellar play from graduate student Stefan Dostanic and junior DK Suresh Ekambaram, the Wake Forest men's tennis team concluded a historic season by claiming the NCAA Championship, defeating TCU in the national final, 4-2. Overall, the men's tennis team would finish the season with a record-breaking 40 wins on the season, including claiming a perfect regular season for the first time in program history.

Along with their NCAA Championship victory, men's tennis also claimed the ITA Indoor National Championship and the ACC regular season crown. The Demon Deacons also set multiple attendance records during the season, including a record-setting 503 supporters in attendance for the match against No. 3 Ohio State and 439 spectators packed inside Leighton Courts to watch the Deacs book their spot to the NCAA Championships and complete an undefeated season at home.

Additionally, the women's soccer program experienced one of their most successful seasons in program history as they advanced to their first-ever NCAA Championship game appearance by defeating Stanford in the College Cup semifinal, 1-0. Individually, junior Caiya Hanks recorded one of the best individual seasons in school history, breaking the program's single-season assist record 12 assists to go along with her 34 points and 11 goals, both of which sit inside the top-10 in Wake Forest history. Hanks became the first Demon Deacon to earn first-team All-ACC honors since 2013, as well as the first player in program history to be named a finalist for the MAC Hermann Award, which is given to the best soccer player in Division I soccer.

Both the men's soccer and men's cross country programs won their respective ACC Championships, bringing the 58th and 59th ACC titles to Winston-Salem. The men's soccer program defeated Clemson in a penalty shootout to secure the program's fourth ACC Championship, as well as the Demon Deacons' 14th-consecutive NCAA Tournament berth. Meanwhile, men's cross country claimed their second ACC Championship in the past three seasons, as senior Luke Tewalt and ACC Freshman of the Year JoJo Jourdon placed seventh and eighth respectively to guide the Deacs to the title.

The 2024-25 academic year was also a year of changes for Wake Forest Athletics as two new head coaches were welcomed into the Wake Forest family. Following the departure of longtime head coach Dave Clawson, Vice President and Director of Athletics John Currie named Jake Dickert as the newest head coach for the Wake Forest football program following an aggressive, but inclusive and extensive search process. Meanwhile, the Wake Forest volleyball team welcomed Jeff Hulsmeyer, who has over 30 years of coaching experience at the collegiate level, as the 13th head coach in program history.

Academically, a school record 353 Wake Forest student-athletes were named to the 2024-25 Atlantic Coast Conference Honor Roll, which marks the sixth-consecutive year in which the Demon Deacons have landed more than 280 student-athletes on the ACC Honor Roll. Wake Forest also produced another ACC Scholar of the Athlete, as DK Suresh Ekambaram won the award for men's tennis.

Most importantly, 130 student-athletes crossed the stage as graduates of Wake Forest University!

Finally, Wake Forest University leadership, including Vice President and Director of Athletics John Currie, the City of Winston-Salem, and Carter and Front Street Capital, announced the development of The Grounds, a new entertainment destination designed to enhance the game day experience for residents, visitors, and fans.
