WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. - The Wake Forest football team hits the field for the first time in 2025 on Friday, Aug. 29 at 7:00 p.m. against Kennesaw State, airing on the ACC Network. Opening Night presented by the Winston-Salem Police has less than 1,000 tickets remaining. Be sure to claim your spot at Allegacy Stadium.
This Friday's game will mark the first-ever meeting between the Demon Deacons and Kennesaw State. The Owls are one of two teams that the Demon Deacons will play for the first time during the 2025 season (Oregon State).
Kennesaw State is one of two Conference USA teams that the Deacs face this season (Delaware). Friday will mark just the third current Conference USA member the Deacs have played against in school history, having previously faced off against Delaware and Liberty
In his three seasons as a head coach Jake Dickert is a combined 3-0 in season openers while also being 11-2 combined in the months of August and September. Additionally, in 13 games, Dickert's offense has scored 512 points (39.4 points per game).
