- Women's Soccer:
- The No. 19 Demon Deacons earned its fourth-straight home shutout victory with a 1-0 win over USF last Thursday.
- Both teams battled heavily during the opening stages of the match and would enter the half at a draw.
- In highlight reel fashion, redshirt sophomore Sierra Sythe scored an olimpico to give the Deacs the 1-0 lead.
- Redshirt sophomore Valentina Amaral helped secure the clean sheet victory for the Demon Deacons and in the 37th minute of the contest, recorded her 60th career save. She made three saves and faced eight shots throughout the match.
- Over the 90 minutes, Wake Forest outshot USF 18-8.
- The Deacs are back on the road to face the College of Charleston Cougars this Thursday, Sept. 4 at Patriots Point Complex in Mount Pleasant, S.C.
- The No. 19 Demon Deacons earned its fourth-straight home shutout victory with a 1-0 win over USF last Thursday.
- Field Hockey:
- The No. 20 Wake Forest field hockey team returns in-state with a pair of matches this weekend following back-to-back battles against Iowa and Michigan to open the 2025 campaign.
- The Demon Deacons close their three-game road swing at Davidson on Friday at 6 p.m., before returning home on Sunday for the home opener.
- Wake opens play at Kentner Stadium on Sunday, Sept. 7, taking on Longwood at 1 p.m.
- The No. 20 Wake Forest field hockey team returns in-state with a pair of matches this weekend following back-to-back battles against Iowa and Michigan to open the 2025 campaign.
- Volleyball:
- The Deacs are set to compete in the Navy Invitational for week two of the 2025 season, held in Annapolis, Md., beginning on Friday.
- The team joins a group of four programs participating in the event, including Navy, Air Force and George Mason.
- Wake Forest opened its season with an appearance in Cincinnati's annual Tribute to #10 Invitational, facing the host Bearcats and Michigan this past weekend.
- Junior transfer Patrycja Lagida led the Deacs in total kills throughout the tournament, finishing with 29, while senior libero Emma Farrell posted 28 digs in two days.
- The Deacs are set to compete in the Navy Invitational for week two of the 2025 season, held in Annapolis, Md., beginning on Friday.
- Women's Golf:
- Junior Macy Pate and freshman Chloe Kovelesky were tabbed with Preseason All-American nods, as announced by Golf Channel this past Friday. Kovelesky received her first accolade for the Honorable Mention team, while Pate earned a spot on the Third Team.
- As a team, the Demon Deacons earned two preseason nods, ranking No. 12 on Golfweek magazine's preseason list and No. 13 according to Golf Channel.
- Wake Forest will begin the 2025 campaign this upcoming Monday at the ANNIKA Intercollegiate at the Royal Golf Club in Lake Elmo, Minn. .
