- Field Hockey:
- The No. 3 Demon Deacons split their opening weekend of conference action against No. 5 Duke and No. 11 Syracuse at Kentner Stadium.
- After dropping their ACC opener in overtime to the Blue Devils, the Deacs closed out the weekend with a 4-2 win over the Orange on Sunday afternoon.
- Freshman Bianca Rees-Gibbs recorded a first-quarter brace as she scored at the 2:36 mark and the 11:16 mark.
- Senior Ava Moore pushed the lead to 3-1 late in the third quarter, before Sarah Mudd put the game away with less than six minutes left to play.
- After dropping their ACC opener in overtime to the Blue Devils, the Deacs closed out the weekend with a 4-2 win over the Orange on Sunday afternoon.
- Wake Forest travels to the Northeast this upcoming weekend as they face ACC foe Boston College on Friday evening, before taking on Harvard on Sunday afternoon.
- The No. 3 Demon Deacons split their opening weekend of conference action against No. 5 Duke and No. 11 Syracuse at Kentner Stadium.
- Women's Cross Country:
- The Demon Deacons returned to action on Saturday as they earned a sixth-place finish at the Meadows Challenge in Princeton, N.J.
- Senior Brooke Wilson recorded a top-10 finish as she placed eighth with a time of 19:59.4.
- The Deacs finished ahead of a pair of top-25 teams, including No. 13 Penn State and No. 25 Princeton.
- The Deacs return to competition on Saturday, Oct. 9 at the Nuttycombe Invitational in Madison, Wis.
- The Demon Deacons returned to action on Saturday as they earned a sixth-place finish at the Meadows Challenge in Princeton, N.J.
- Volleyball:
- The Demon Deacons opened ACC play with a pair of five-set matches against Big Four rivals Duke and No. 24 North Carolina at Varsity Arena.
- Freshman Lyla Stewart shined as she recorded a pair of career high performances over the weekend.
- Stewart opened ACC play with a career-high 19-kill, 16-dig double-double against the Blue Devils.
- The Powell, Ohio, native followed up with her first career 20-kill performance against the Tar Heels, finishing the match with 24 kills and 14 digs.
- Freshman Lyla Stewart shined as she recorded a pair of career high performances over the weekend.
- The Deacs hit the road for the first time in ACC play as they visit Miami on Friday, before facing Florida State on Sunday.
- The Demon Deacons opened ACC play with a pair of five-set matches against Big Four rivals Duke and No. 24 North Carolina at Varsity Arena.
- Women's Tennis:
- The Deacs continue their fall slate this weekend as they travel to Birmingham, Ala., to compete in the Blue Gray Classic from Oct. 2-4.
- Women's Soccer:
- The No. 4 Demon Deacons return to action this Sunday as they host Big Four rival NC State at Kentner Stadium at 5 p.m.
- Women's Golf:
- After a stellar opening month to the season that included a team victory at the ANNIKA Intercollegiate and a runner-up finish at the Jackson T. Stephens Cup, the women's golf team jumped to No. 1 in the country by the WGCA.
