  • Volleyball: 
    • The Demon Deacons have three matches this week, starting with a matchup at Alabama as part of the 2025 Showdown at the Net ACC/SEC Challenge on Wednesday evening at 6 p.m. 
    • This weekend, Wake Forest is home for the first time hosting Davidson and Maryland on Friday and Sunday. 
    • The program will celebrate its 1975 team in a 50th anniversary reunion this weekend as well, honoring a team that posted a 31-9 overall record to still hold program records for single-season wins and win percentage (.775). Led by head coach Sharron Perkins, the 1975 team went on to be named champions of the state tournament and regional tournament en route to earning a bid to the first-ever Small College National Volleyball Tournament.
    •  Wake Forest earned wins over George Mason and Navy this past weekend in the 14th annual Kristen Dickmann Invitational. 
  • Women's Soccer: 
    • The Demon Deacons finished the past week up with a win over the College of Charleston (2-0) and a draw against a talented Brown program (1-1). 
    • Wake Forest will host its ACC opener on Wednesday evening, facing Miami for an 8 p.m. match that'll be televised nationally on the ACC Network before a final non-conference contest against USC Upstate on Sunday at 1 p.m. 
  • Field Hockey: 
    • The Wake Forest field hockey team picked up a pair of wins this weekend, capturing a 2-1 victory at Davidson, before a 7-0 rout of Longwood for the Demon Deacons home opener. 
    • Wake outshot their opponents 59-7 over the two matches last week, including holding the Lancers without a shot on goal. 
    • The Demon Deacons travel to VCU on Friday, Sept. 12 for a 3 p.m. ET first touch, followed by a home match against UMass Lowell on Sunday, Sept. 14 at Noon.
  • Cross Country: 
    • After opening their season in a dual meet against UNCG, the women's cross country team is set for its first major test of the season as they compete in the Queen City Invite in Charlotte on Friday.
    • Wake Forest returns 12 runners from last season, led by senior Elizabeth Whaley and juniors Angelina Perez and Brooke Wilson. The Deacs also added six new members to the squad, including four freshmen, as well as graduate transfers Issy Goldstein and Maisie Wilmer.
      • Last season, Perez, Whaley, and Wilson all claimed All-Region honors, while Perez and Wilson also earned All-ACC honors.
