The midfielder joins the Demon Deacons after two successful seasons at John Brown, where he accumulated 11 goals and 11 assists.
WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. – Wake Forest men's soccer head coach Bobby Muuss announced the addition of transfer midfielder Marcos Miranda, a two-time Sooner Athletic Conference honoree and 2025 NAIA Third Team All-American, to the Demon Deacons' roster ahead of the 2026 season
Miranda arrives in Winston-Salem following a standout two-year career at John Brown University, where he developed into one of the NAIA's most impactful two-way midfielders.
"We are thrilled to welcome Marcos Miranda to the Wake Forest family," Muuss said. "Marcos is an exceptionally talented player who brings two seasons of NAIA experience, along with a background competing at the highest levels of youth soccer in Madrid, Spain with Rayo Vallecano. He is widely regarded as one of the top prospects at the NAIA level and we are excited to welcome him to campus in January as we begin working with him. His strong tactical understanding of the game, technical quality on the ball and relentless work rate on both sides of play make him an ideal fit for our attacking, possession-based style."
The Madrid, Spain, native was named Sooner Athletic Conference Player of the Year in 2025 after powering JBU to its deepest postseason run of the modern era, while also earning First Team All-Conference recognition. As a freshman in 2024, he secured Second Team All-Conference honors.
This past season, Miranda totaled five goals and seven assists (17 points) across 19 appearances with 17 starts, recording at least one point in five of the Golden Eagles' first six matches. Operating centrally, he consistently dictated tempo, created chances, and provided defensive stability.
Miranda delivered one of his most memorable moments in the NAIA second round, logging a season-high 110 minutes while scoring against No. 11 William Carey (Miss.) in a tightly contested road battle.
Across two collegiate seasons, Miranda has compiled 11 goals, 11 assists and 33 points in 36 matches.
