CHAPEL HILL, N.C. - Recently named No. 1 on the WGCA Coaches Poll and Scoreboard, Wake Forest women's golf continues its fall schedule at the Ruth's Chris Tar Heel Invitational beginning Oct. 16, held at Finley G.C. in Chapel Hill, N.C.
Along with the team being named No. 1 in the country on multiple polls, numerous Deacs also earned top-rankings: junior Chloe Kovelesky at No. 2 in the nation and senior Macy Pate at No. 7. Freshmen Havanna Torstensson and Benedicte Brent-Petersen also top the charts, at No. 13 and No. 33 respectively.
Junior Sarah Lydic will slot into the lineup for the first time this season, after a career-best T3 finish at the Pirate Collegiate Classic in September.

At four-under-par, senior Macy Pate secured back-to-back titles and her second career win at the Jackson T. Stephens Cup. Pate shared medalist honors with Texas senior Farah O'Keefe, marking the second pair co-champions in tournament history.

- Finley Golf Course is one of the top 20 collegiate courses in the country. The club offers a well-conditioned, comprehensive facility with a driving range, putting green, and chipping. Tom Fazio designed this challenging layout that is diverse enough to appeal to players of all skill levels. He included his trademark false fronts and greenside bunkers. To keep the golf course approachable, there are several different ways to play the bunkers and there are numerous risk-reward opportunities. Seven sets of tees ranging from about 5,000 to 7,300 yards make the course even more versatile.
