- Women's Soccer:
- The No. 4 Demon Deacons returned to action on Sunday evening as they earned a 3-1 victory over Big Four rival NC State to remain undefeated at Spry Stadium this season.
- Sophomore Allie Flanagan fired the Deacs in front in the 17th minute.
- After the Wolfpack tied the match, the Demon Deacons reclaimed the lead as redshirt junior Sierra Sythe converted from the penalty spot in the 72nd minute, marking her seventh goal of the season.
- Junior Lola Ressler clinched the win with a goal four minutes later.
- Wake Forest continues its ACC slate this weekend as they travel to the Sunshine State to face Miami on Saturday at 1 p.m.
- The No. 4 Demon Deacons returned to action on Sunday evening as they earned a 3-1 victory over Big Four rival NC State to remain undefeated at Spry Stadium this season.
- Field Hockey:
- The No. 5 Deacs recorded their first ACC road win of the season as they defeated Boston College in overtime by a final score of 2-1 on Friday night.
- After giving up a goal eight minutes into the game, Wake Forest notched a second-half comeback to move to 2-1 in conference play.
- Senior Ava Moore tied the game with just over six minutes left to play off an assist by fellow senior Mia Schoenbeck.
- The Deacs secured the comeback as freshman Bianca Ress-Gibbs scored the game-winning goal less than four minutes into overtime.
- After giving up a goal eight minutes into the game, Wake Forest notched a second-half comeback to move to 2-1 in conference play.
- Wake Forest continues its four-match road stretch this weekend as they face No. 14 Cal on Friday at 9 p.m. ET, and Stanford on Sunday at 3 p.m. ET.
- The No. 5 Deacs recorded their first ACC road win of the season as they defeated Boston College in overtime by a final score of 2-1 on Friday night.
- Women's Tennis:
- The Deacs continued their 2026 fall schedule as they recorded a runner-up finish at the Blue Gray Classic.
- The Demon Deacons defeated the combined team of North Alabama and Alabama State and Memphis before falling to Ole Miss in a tiebreaker in the final.
- Wake Forest went a perfect 6-0 in doubles matches during their run to the final.
- Sophomore Claire Hill won all three of her singles matches, while senior Sankavi Gownder picked up a pair of singles victories during the tournament.
- The Demon Deacons defeated the combined team of North Alabama and Alabama State and Memphis before falling to Ole Miss in a tiebreaker in the final.
- The Demon Deacons will be back in action in two weeks as they look to qualify for the NCAA Singles and Doubles Championships at the ITA Regional Championships from Oct. 15-20 in Columbia, S.C.
- The Deacs continued their 2026 fall schedule as they recorded a runner-up finish at the Blue Gray Classic.
- Volleyball:
- The Wake Forest volleyball returns to Varsity Arena this weekend as they host Boston College on Friday at 6:30 p.m., before facing Syracuse in the annual Heather Kahl Holmes Breast Cancer Match on Sunday at 1 p.m.
- Women's Basketball:
- Head women's basketball coach Megan Gebia, graduate student Breauna Ware and sophomore Opal Bird took center stage as they represented the Demon Deacons at ACC Women's Basketball Tipoff in Charlotte on Monday.
- Wake Forest also announced its start times and television designations for the 2026-27 season.
- Women's Cross Country:
- The Deacs return to competition as they are set to compete at the Nuttycombe Invitational on Saturday morning in Madison, Wis.
